It's time to switch from Wellhub
Wellhub gives gym access. Woliba builds total wellbeing — with recognition, coaching, wellness challenges & burnout analytics in one platform. No per-seat charges for employees who never show up.
Real User Review
"Some gyms have limited time slots depending on your plan, which can be frustrating. I would like to go twice in a day — cardio in the morning and workout in the afternoon — but it only allows me once. It feels restrictive for what you pay."

Developer Support Engineer, Information Technology
Here are five reasons Why HRs outgrow Wellhub
Gym access alone doesn’t build an engaged, healthy workforce. Woliba helps HR teams go beyond fitness perks — with recognition, burnout prevention, coaching & full wellbeing in one platform.
"We pay $4,600/month for essentially nothing"
Wellhub's PEPM (Per Employee Per Month) model charges you for every employee who has access — whether they ever log in or not. One HR leader reported paying $4,600/month just for access, plus $1,600/month more for basic memberships. Of 500 employees, fewer than 100 actively used it. That's a catastrophic ROI gap that no wellness platform should deliver.
"We are charged $4,600 for essentially nothing. Then an additional $1,600/month for 500 employees. We have 230 subscribed and less than 100 who actively use the product. The cost and ROI is not there."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba's 12-pillar wellness framework covers physical, mental, financial, social, and more — so every employee finds something that fits their lifestyle. A desk worker, a new parent, and a marathon runner all belong on Woliba.
"Woliba encourages healthy habits through friendly competition while helping employees stay accountable to personal goals. It brings teams together across locations by increasing awareness of daily activity and motivating everyone to improve their wellbeing."
Stuart Tainsky
CIO & Head of Administration
Gym access isn't employee wellness — it's just a fitness perk
Wellhub gives employees access to gyms and fitness studios — and for employees who use it, that's valuable. But gym access addresses only the physical dimension of wellbeing. It has no recognition tools, no engagement surveys, no burnout detection, no coaching, no mental or financial wellness content. When your wellness platform can't address burnout, stress, or disengagement, you need more than a gym pass.
"Gympass is a platform that helps enhance corporate wellness programs by providing access to fitness facilities. But stress control, wellness programs, and employee engagement need more than just gym access."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba auto-syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin and more — so most activities are logged passively without lifting a finger. Employees stay engaged without the app feeling like homework.
"Woliba makes it easy to track workouts and daily activity, helping users stay aware of their exercise habits and remain aligned with wellness goals. The clear tracking and helpful tips keep health progress visible and motivating."

"Challenge feature stuck in beta for 6+ months"
Wellhub's challenge feature has been in beta for over 6 months with no clear roadmap. HR teams report low engagement, unbalanced formats (high-volume users dominate), and exclusion of employees whose gym isn't integrated. There's no active minutes scoring, no intensity-based options, and no inclusive wellness challenge design — just fitness activity tracking.
"Challenge feature has been in beta for 6+ months. We signed up with the understanding it would be improved. Engagement is low — some users dominate through high-volume activities while others miss out if their gym isn't integrated."

Miss one class — account locked. Glitchy app makes it worse.
Wellhub's late cancellation and check-in policy is widely criticized. Miss a class or forget to tap the check-in button in the app? Your account gets locked. To unlock it, you pay $25. And if the app glitches — which it frequently does — you still get penalized. One user described it as "everything is built to ADD so much friction." For a wellness benefit, this creates the opposite of wellbeing.
"The app often shows locations as part of the Wellhub network, but when I arrive, the staff say they don't actually accept Wellhub. This has happened multiple times — wasting both time and fuel."

"Woliba offers a wide variety of wellness resources, including educational content, workout videos, and recipes, helping increase awareness and engagement. It has become a central part of the wellness program and continues to drive higher participation."

"They raise prices every 2 months — without prior notice"
Wellhub users consistently report unexpected price hikes — sometimes 20% overnight, sometimes frequent small increases that add up significantly over time. One user reported the Gold plan was ~$150 when they started, now significantly higher. More restrictions get added each year for the same or higher price. For HR teams with fixed wellness budgets, this unpredictability is a major problem.
"The only thing I didn't like was their increasing price. They increased prices by 20% without any prior notice. They should give everyone a message before increasing."

Frequently Asked Questions
Creating a work culture is a shared responsibility where every individual plays a vital role and it all starts with selecting the right solution. Allow Woliba to transform this into a reality.
How long does migration from Wellable take?
Switching wellness platforms shouldn’t cause your HR team a headache. We’ve seen companies migrate from Wellable in under 15 days — bringing over their challenge history, employee data, reward structures, and wellness program setup without missing a beat. Your dedicated Woliba CSM handles the entire transition, from data migration to employee communications to launching your first challenge, so your team feels zero disruption.
What is Wellhub?
How does Wellhub work?
Employers purchase Wellhub and pay a monthly PEPM fee for all enrolled employees — regardless of whether they use the platform. Employees download the app, choose a plan tier (Basic, Silver, Gold, Platinum), and check into partner gyms and studios. Check-ins require app interaction within a set window. Missing that window or late-cancelling can result in account lockouts with a $25 unlock fee. Partner listings are sometimes reported as inaccurate.
What wellness services does Wellhub include?
Wellhub primarily includes access to physical fitness venues — gyms, yoga studios, swimming pools, and boutique fitness classes — plus some wellness apps for meditation and nutrition. It does not include employee recognition, engagement surveys, leadership coaching, mental health programs, financial wellness, burnout detection, or live workplace events. Woliba covers all 12 pillars of wellbeing in one platform.
What are Wellhub's pricing and plans?
Wellhub does not publish transparent pricing. It is quote-based and uses a PEPM model — companies pay for every enrolled employee whether they use it or not. Users report unexpected 20%+ price increases without prior notice and additional restrictions added to existing plans over time. Woliba charges $2/active user per month, starting at $100/month — no charges for inactive employees, no surprise hikes.
Wellhub reviews — what are users saying?
Wellhub receives mixed reviews. Employees who actively use gym access find value in the variety of fitness options. However, HR leaders consistently raise concerns: poor ROI due to PEPM charges for inactive employees, a challenge feature stuck in beta for 6+ months, account lockouts and $25 unlock fees for missed check-ins, inaccurate gym listings, app glitches that result in penalties, and unexpected price increases. On G2, HR buyers flag the difficulty justifying cost when active usage remains low.
