The Challenge
THE CHALLENGE
Doran Companies operates across real estate development, construction, and property management — meaning their workforce ranges from office professionals to field and site teams. Their previous wellness vendor wasn’t meeting the mark: employees found it cumbersome, engagement was limited, and leadership lacked the visibility to drive meaningful change. They needed a platform flexible enough to meet every employee where they were, and engaging enough to keep them coming back.
Office, construction, and property management teams with different schedules, environments, and wellness needs
Their previous wellness vendor existed but employees found it cumbersome — participation was limited and the admin experience created friction rather than removing it.
No structured way to understand what wellness topics mattered most to their team or where to focus programming.
Their previous wellness vendor wasn’t delivering the user experience or engagement Doran needed — they wanted something their team would actually enjoy using.
The Solution
THE CHALLENGE
Woliba gave Doran Companies the structure to launch a cohesive wellness program across all roles and locations — with challenges, health education, and recognition tools that made participation easy and rewarding from day one.

209 challenge entries in Year 1 established a culture of healthy competition — giving employees
a shared goal to work toward together regardless of role or location.

Fitness points accounted for the majority of engagement activity, meeting employees where their
existing habits were and building from there.

Structured health logging gave employees a consistent daily touchpoint with the platform, contributing to sustained month-over-month engagement.

Recognition points fostered a culture of encouragement — helping employees across different teams feel connected and motivated.

In 2026, Doran began distributing rewards and gift cards through the Woliba platform — giving employees tangible recognition for their wellness efforts and meaningfully boosting participation.
The Journey
Doran Companies launched January 1, 2025 and immediately hit the ground running — building participation and expanding programming depth in their first year, then accelerating further into 2026.
57 of 77 employees activated and earned points in their first year — a 74% active rate that reflects immediate buy-in across all departments. The team collectively walked 71.5 million steps (equivalent to 1.14 trips around the Earth), earned 250,000 points, and logged 71% challenge participation. The year-end Health & Wellness Assessment established a 68% company wellbeing score and 66% employee wellness score — scores that have held consistent into 2026, suggesting a stable foundation to build on as programming deepens. Notably, the Construction department ranked in the top three for engagement — surprising
the admin team and opening new conversations about cross-department recognition.
In just seven months of 2026, active participation climbed to 83% of the workforce. A key driver: Doran added Woliba’s Rewards module at renewal — distributing virtual gift cards that meaningfully accelerated engagement. The team also launched a personal daily step challenge, and hosted a 5K celebration event in April that drove points, photo sharing, and a spike in platform activity that carried through into June — the highest single-month total in the program’s history. Challenge entries reached 255, already surpassing all of 2025 with five months remaining.

WHY IT WORKED
Doran Companies’ rapid growth reflects a program designed to meet employees across roles and environments — and a commitment from leadership to make wellness a visible, valued part of company culture from the very start.
74% of employees activated in Year 1 — a strong foundation that set up the participation growth that followed in Year 2.
With 255 entries in just the first seven months of 2026, challenges have become the centerpiece of Doran’s wellness culture — creating shared goals that cross team lines.
From February through July, every 2026 month outpaced its 2025 equivalent — with May, June, and July showing particularly strong gains as the rewards program took hold.
Introducing gift cards and rewards through Woliba in 2026 gave employees a tangible reason
to stay engaged — contributing directly to the jump from 74% to 83% active participation.
Year-end data revealed Construction as a topthree engaging department — a surprise to leadership that
sparked new recognition conversations and a more inclusive approach to programming in Year 2.
“Woliba has been a great way to bring our teams together, especially those who may not otherwise connect in their day-to-day roles. We appreciate that it gives us a space to participate in company-wide challenges while also encouraging each person to
work toward their own personal goals. It’s engaging, easy to use, and makes wellness something we can have fun with together.”
