It's time to switch from YuMuuv
YuMuuv is a step challenge leaderboard at $17/user/month with no cheating prevention, no recognition tools, and no wellbeing beyond the challenge. Woliba delivers complete employee wellbeing — challenges, coaching, surveys & burnout alerts — at $2/user/month.
Real User Review
"This app needs a lot of love, honestly. It is full of dead ends. It is just a leaderboard — you add an amount of activity, and it adds up to the total. If you return to the home page, not to the point you left, you have to scroll back again. Just one of the bugs there."

Here are five reasons Why HRs outgrow YuMuuv
A step challenge leaderboard is a good start — but it’s not employee wellbeing. Woliba gives HR teams the full stack at 8.5x lower cost.
$17/user/month for challenges only. Woliba charges $2 for everything.
YuMuuv's monthly plan costs $1,700 for 100 users — that's $17 per user per month, for a fitness challenge leaderboard only. Woliba costs $2/user/month and includes 120+ activity challenges, recognition, coaching, engagement surveys, burnout alerts, and a dedicated CSM. For the same budget as 12 YuMuuv users, Woliba covers an entire 100-person team with the complete wellbeing stack.
"We were paying a significant premium for a platform that, at its core, was just a step tracker with leaderboards. When we compared what we were getting versus what else was on the market, the value gap was undeniable."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba's 12-pillar wellness framework covers physical, mental, financial, social, and more — so every employee finds something that fits their lifestyle. A desk worker, a new parent, and a marathon runner all belong on Woliba.
"Woliba encourages healthy habits through friendly competition while helping employees stay accountable to personal goals. It brings teams together across locations by increasing awareness of daily activity and motivating everyone to improve their wellbeing."
Stuart Tainsky
CIO & Head of Administration
200,000 steps every three hours — and no one checks
YuMuuv allows manual step entry with no meaningful validation. Real users have documented entering 200,000 steps every three hours during company challenges — with YuMuuv accepting the data without any cheating detection or flag system. When honest participants lose to fabricated step counts, they disengage. The competition that was meant to motivate employees becomes a reason to stop participating.
"They challenged everyone to see who could log the most steps in 31 days. Some participants were entering 200,000 steps every three hours! 😂 They have to find a way to prevent manual step entry."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba auto-syncs with Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin and more — so most activities are logged passively without lifting a finger. Employees stay engaged without the app feeling like homework.
"Woliba makes it easy to track workouts and daily activity, helping users stay aware of their exercise habits and remain aligned with wellness goals. The clear tracking and helpful tips keep health progress visible and motivating."

Samsung not supported. Google Fit buffering. Health Connect in beta.
YuMuuv's device integration coverage is a known weakness. Samsung Health has no direct integration — users are directed to route data via Health Connect, which is in early development and not fully reliable. Google Fit sync hangs and buffers. Huawei Health integration is marked as beta and non-functional. Users with Garmin and ZEPP watches report Health Connect failures. For a step-tracking platform, broken sync is a core product failure.
"Difficult to connect to existing applications or websites to track fitness. I used Strava and Garmin Connect instead — YuMuuv just didn't connect."

"After the first 6 days I could not get it to connect to my Health Connect to watch. ZEPP and Droid phone — the watch was showing steps on phone great, but would not sync to this app."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba automates the entire challenge lifecycle — points are tallied, leaderboards update in real time, and wrap-up reports are generated automatically. What took Wellable admins hours takes Woliba seconds.
"Woliba makes it easy to track steps through wearable and phone integration while offering a wide range of wellness options, including exercise, educational content, and community sharing. It helps employees stay informed, refreshed, and mindful of healthy habits like stress management and overall wellbeing."

Step challenges end. Burnout doesn't wait for the next one.
YuMuuv is a step challenge platform — and a good one for what it does. But it has zero employee recognition tools, no engagement surveys, no leadership coaching, no burnout detection, no mental health content, no financial wellness, and no social recognition feed. When a challenge ends, there's nothing keeping employees connected to their health or to each other. Culture requires more than a 30-day leaderboard.
"Brings a global company together and I like seeing others competing. But it does not show how points are calculated. Total active minutes does not match Apple Fitness. Not easy to use. Not integrated with Whoop."

How Woliba Fixes This
Woliba only charges for active users — employees who actually participate. No surprise invoices, no manual cleanup, no paying for people who never opened the app. Transparent billing from day one.
"Woliba offers a wide variety of wellness resources, including educational content, workout videos, and recipes, helping increase awareness and engagement. It has become a central part of the wellness program and continues to drive higher participation."

NeuroPace, Inc.
"The competition counts days, not steps — that's not a competition"
YuMuuv's competition metric system draws consistent criticism from users who expected step or calorie tracking but found the platform counting active days instead. When 26,000 steps counts the same as 10,000 steps because both equal "1 active day," competition integrity breaks down. Cycling and yoga are not counted in competition figures. Active minutes totals don't match Apple Fitness. Users trying to compete fairly are frustrated by a platform that doesn't accurately represent real effort.
"The competition counts days, not steps — that's not a competition anymore. So why don't we see real step counts instead of days? If there is a public data issue, why doesn't the app count 10,000 steps as 1 day so that 26,000 steps equals 2 days?"

What is YuMuuv?
What are YuMuuv's pricing and plans?
YuMuuv uses transparent pricing based on number of users and challenge duration. For 100 users on a 1-month plan, the cost is $1,700 — which works out to $17/user/month. Annual plans reduce this to approximately $3.09/user/month ($3,750/year for 101 users). In comparison, Woliba charges $2/active user/month ($100/month for 50 users) with recognition, coaching, surveys, and burnout analytics all included. Even at YuMuuv’s annual rate, Woliba is 54% cheaper — and delivers significantly more.
YuMuuv reviews — what are users saying?
YuMuuv has an App Store rating of 4.9/5 (1,400+ ratings) and is generally praised for its challenge concept and motivation features. G2’s AI summary highlights ease of use (270 mentions) and team motivation (167 mentions) as top positives. Key recurring negatives include: manual input issues and inaccuracies (72 mentions), occasional syncing delays (57 mentions), confusing UI (32 mentions), integration issues with smart devices (29 mentions), and inaccurate active minute tracking (23 mentions). Users also report that cycling and yoga are not counted in competition figures, and that the platform counts days of activity rather than actual step counts in some challenge formats.
Does YuMuuv integrate with Samsung Health?
YuMuuv does not have a direct Samsung Health integration. Users can attempt to route Samsung Health data via Google Health Connect, but this integration is described by YuMuuv as “in early development” and not fully reliable. Multiple users have reported that Samsung steps show correctly on their phone but fail to sync to YuMuuv. Huawei Health integration is similarly in beta and non-functional for many users. Woliba integrates directly with Samsung Health, Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Garmin — all stable, not in beta.
